Welcome to Friendly Driving School. By booking driving lessons or using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Terms & Conditions
1. About Us
Friendly Driving School provides manual and automatic driving lessons, intensive courses, instructor training (PDI/ADI), refresher lessons and driving test support across Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
2. Lesson Bookings
Lessons are subject to instructor availability. Bookings may be made by telephone, WhatsApp, email, social media or through our website. A booking is only confirmed once it has been accepted by Friendly Driving School.
3. Payment
Payment must be made before the lesson unless another arrangement has been agreed. Lesson packages must be paid for in advance.
Prices may change at any time without notice. Any prepaid lessons will remain at the agreed price.
4. Cancellation Policy
We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange a lesson. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, the full lesson fee will be payable.
Failure to attend a lesson without notice will also result in the full lesson fee being charged.
If your instructor needs to cancel due to illness, vehicle issues or unforeseen circumstances, an alternative lesson will be arranged as soon as possible.
5. Late Arrival
If you arrive late, the lesson will still finish at the agreed time. If your instructor is delayed, your lesson time will be made up where possible or rearranged.
6. Driving Licence
You must hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence. You may be asked to provide your driving licence before your first lesson.
It is your responsibility to ensure your licence remains valid.
7. Fitness to Drive
You must not attend a lesson if you are under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. You must inform your instructor if you are taking medication or have a medical condition that could affect your ability to drive safely. You must be able to read a vehicle number plate from 20 metres (with glasses or contact lenses if required).
8. Practical Driving Tests
Learners are responsible for booking their own practical driving test unless agreed otherwise. Use of the instructor’s vehicle for the practical test is entirely at the instructor’s discretion.
If your instructor believes your driving is not at a safe or test-ready standard, they may refuse use of the vehicle. This decision is made in the interests of your safety, the examiner and other road users.
Friendly Driving School cannot guarantee that any learner will pass their practical driving test.
9. Driving Test Vehicle Hire
Test-day vehicle hire includes use of the instructor’s car for the practical driving test and any agreed lesson immediately beforehand. Test fees must be paid in advance.
10. Instructor Training
Friendly Driving School offers PDI and ADI training. Training is designed to help candidates prepare for qualifying examinations, but we cannot guarantee a pass.
11. Behaviour
We expect all learners to behave respectfully towards instructors. Aggressive, abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. Friendly Driving School reserves the right to terminate lessons immediately where behaviour is unacceptable.
12. Safety
Your instructor is responsible for maintaining safety throughout the lesson. Lessons may be terminated if weather conditions, road conditions or learner behaviour make it unsafe to continue.
13. Refunds
Refund requests for unused lessons will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Lessons already completed will be charged at the current hourly rate before any remaining balance is refunded.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
14. Website Use
The content on this website is provided for general information only. Although we aim to keep information accurate and up to date, Friendly Driving School accepts no responsibility for any errors or omissions. We reserve the right to update our website without notice.
15. Intellectual Property
All text, photographs, logos and branding displayed on this website remain the property of Friendly Driving School unless otherwise stated.
They may not be copied, reproduced or used without written permission.
16. Limitation of Liability
Friendly Driving School accepts no responsibility for personal belongings left in our vehicles. Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK law.
17. Changes to These Terms
Friendly Driving School reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
